DETHERM®

In order to satisfy all its users' needs and enable them to make the most of their data, strategic external links have been set up. Thanks to a partnership with the German organization DECHEMA, it is now possible to enrich the company's private databank in e-thermo™ with physical and chemical properties from the DETHERM® database.

What is DETHERM® ?

DETHERM® is a digital database providing a wide range of thermo-physical properties for the design and development of chemical equipment, plants and processes. This renowned database is generated and maintained by DECHEMA, a non-profit German professional association that promotes scientific and technical exchange between experts from different fields, organizations and generations. In the DETHERM® database, you’ll find several ‘packages’ focusing on different physical and chemical properties, each meticulously updated and managed by different experts inside and outside DECHEMA. Currently, this invaluable resource stores an impressive collection of data, including over 11.7 million data points for more than 85,000 pure bodies and 200,000 complex mixtures. Naturally, the DETHERM® database is regularly updated, with around 5% new properties added every year.

In today’s environment, the availability of reliable thermo-physical and chemical data is vital to the development of various industries. For this reason, the DETHERM® database plays a central role as an invaluable resource to meet the requirements of researchers, engineers and scientists worldwide.

How does it work?

Searching for data in e-thermo™

An e-thermo™ user launches a search concerning the property of a compound or mixture.In addition to the results found, if this property is available in the DETHERM® database, an icon appears. Clicking on the icon takes the user directly to the DETHERM® interface.

Users will be able to consult the results of their search directly on the DETHERM® web page.

In order to import the data into e-thermo™, the user will need to log in to his DETHERM® account.

DETHERM® data on e-thermo™

Once purchased and downloaded in IKC format, these data from DETHERM® can be added to the user’s private e-thermo™ database.

They will then be available at any time, enabling the user to make the most of them through the various e-thermo™ features.
